This course is designed to train firefighters in rapid intervention operation and survival techniques. The course will consist of both classroom and practical settings. Firefighters will train in personal escape procedures, rescue of downed firefighter, SCBA use, safety, NFPA 1500 standard and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.104 regulation for rapid intervention teams, and much more. The course is for all firefighters, although it is a physically demanding course due to the time and events using full firefighter protective equipment. |
