Description This course reinforces the basics learned and demonstrated in Rope Rescue-I, and begins to provide to the student methods to learn advanced high angle rescue techniques. Included in the course are: complex anchors, advanced hauling systems, specialized patient packaging and scenarios utilizing high angle facilities at the Academy. Team leader functions are rotated among all participants to facilitate the development of leadership skills during rescue activities. All participants will function as a rescuer, safety, belay, and team leader during scenario based training activities. This course references NFPA 1006 Chapter 6. Students must achieve a 70% or greater on exam and practical skills testing in order to receive a certificate.
