This course is designed to address the management needs of first-in engine company officers or officials who are responsible for emergency response actions, including the direct supervision of other fire personnel, prior to the arrival of higher ranking departmental officials. The main focus of the course is to advance the ability of the initial officer in charge of the scene of a fire situation to safely manage the response actions of assigned personnel. The course curriculum includes preparation for response, decision making, and tactical operations. |
