The Emergency Medical Services Bureau is the latest formed Instructional Bureau at the state fire academy developed in 2020. This Bureau’s mission is to offer the Fire Service of Mississippi’s training and certification needs in various EMS related courses. The EMS bureau is currently offering NAEMT courses such as TECC, TCCC, and PHTLS. The bureau is currently an American Heart Association training site offering classes in first aid, CPR/AED, BLS, ACLS, and PALS. The EMS bureau is also currently teaching/offering NREMT classes on and off campus for Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician Basic, and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. The bureau also offers train-the –trainers in many of the classes offered for departments wishing to train their medical personnel at their department.
