The Mississippi Firefighter Partnership with Workforce Development
Mississippi Win Job Center Locations are now accepting applications for the following courses conducted at the MS Fire Academy:
- NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter
- NFPA 1002 Driver Operator
- NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor
- NFPA 1021 Fire Officer
- EMT – Basic
- EMT – Advanced
Below are the documents that are needed to apply for these training classes:
__ Federal or State ID that shows DOB
__ If receiving food stamps, SSI or any other public assistance, bring
documents for all that apply
__ Most recent paystubs (only if currently employed)
__ Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with
selective service
__ Proof of residency if address on ID is not current (phone bill, utility
bill, etc with the applicant name and address)
__ Veterans only, copy of DD214
__ Signed letter from fire chief confirming full-time employment
__ Acceptance letter from the MS Fire Academy
*Please note that each district application will have minor differences, but the steps listed above incorporate the core requirements.
